Most people start thinking about a home elevator for one reason and end up with three. Daily convenience, long-term accessibility, a home that works for everyone in it regardless of age or mobility. The Symmetry Residential Elevator delivers all of it without compromising the way your home looks.
This is a fully custom, fully automatic elevator built to order in the United States and installed by the experts at Access Lifts Florida. The cab interior is built from real wood in the species, stain, and panel style you choose. The doors, hardware, and fixtures are configured to complement your home’s design. When it arrives, it fits the space it was planned for because the entire installation is designed around your home from the start, not adapted to it after the fact.
Florida homeowners choose the Symmetry Residential Elevator when they want something that moves the way a premium elevator should: quietly, smoothly, and without a second thought.
Florida homes aren’t uniform, and the elevator going into them shouldn’t be either. Coastal estates, multi-story waterfront properties, new construction, and high-end renovations all come with different structural constraints and aesthetic expectations. The Symmetry Residential Elevator is built to accommodate them and installed by Access Lifts Florida to ensure a flawless experience.
The IGD system works where the floor plan has no room for a dedicated machine space. The Hydraulic option handles heavier loads in larger homes. A pitless configuration is available for installations where a traditional pit conflicts with existing slab conditions. Inside the cab, choose from nine wood species including Alder, Birch, Cherry, Hickory, Mahogany, Maple, Red Oak, Walnut, and White Oak. Panel styles range from flat to shaker to raised. Stain, fixture hardware, handrail finish, and ceiling configuration are all specified independently.
For homeowners, this is a long-term investment in accessibility, comfort, and property value. For architects and builders, it is an ASME-compliant, factory-tested elevator with complete hoistway documentation available before a single wall goes up.
Access Lifts Florida handles the full process from planning through installation. Bring us your floor plan and your vision and we’ll handle everything else.

The Inline Gear Drive is machine-room-less. The drive unit mounts inside the hoistway above the guide rails, so no dedicated equipment room is needed and the electrical requirement is a 20-amp single-phase circuit. The Hydraulic drive uses a cylinder and pump assembly housed in a machine room, draws a 30-amp single-phase circuit, and handles higher loads and extended travel distances. For most Florida residential projects, the IGD is the more practical choice. Hydraulic becomes the correct answer when load requirements or specific site conditions call for it.
The cab can be built from nine wood species: Alder, Birch, Cherry, Hickory, Mahogany, Maple, Red Oak, Walnut, and White Oak. Panel styles include flat, shaker, inset, and raised. Stain selection, ceiling treatment, car operating panel finish, handrail, and fixture hardware are all configured independently. No two Symmetry Residential Elevator installations are the same.
Available options include accordion doors, Enterprise collapsible gates, three-panel car doors, two-speed car and landing doors, three-speed doors, and automatic double landing doors. Opening configurations can be same-side, straight-through, or 90 degrees.
The Symmetry Residential Elevator includes an in-car emergency stop switch and alarm, safety switches for car gates and doors, battery backup emergency car lights and alarm, motor controller supply disconnects, electromechanical hoistway door locking devices, an enhanced gate bypass monitor, and unauthorized hoistway entry detection. The S.M.A.R.T. System (Self-Monitoring Alert Response Technology) runs continuous diagnostics and broadcasts fault codes to the controller, hall stations, and the car operating panel. An Uninterruptible Power Support (UPS) system allows the car to lower to the nearest egress level in the event of a power failure.
Yes. The elevator installs into a purpose-built hoistway, which can be constructed as part of a renovation without needing to rework the entire floor plan. The IGD option removes the machine room from the scope entirely, which simplifies the structural work. A pitless configuration is also available for IGD applications where a traditional pit is not feasible due to existing slab conditions. Access Lifts Florida regularly installs the Symmetry Residential Elevator as part of Florida home remodels.
